Akhetonics is creating the first all-optical XPU, a general-purpose processor for ultra-low power, high-performance computing. We are a start-up based and founded in Germany in 2021 with members from all over the EU. With our in-house developed photonic design automation tools and all-optical logic we are in a unique position to develop the first all-optical digital computation devices. Our goal is to usher in a new era of processors that are extremely parallelizable, radically more power efficient and boast a much lower latency by using light instead of electrons.
