Carla Wilson ^{Top-Executive}

I am a people-focused, internationally-experienced and passionate executive, with outstanding joint venture management, stakeholder engagement, influencing, communication and commercial negotiation skills and an unwavering commitment to delivery and excellence.

I currently live in Belo Horizonte, Brazil, where I am General Manager of BHP Brasil and serve as a member of the Board of Directors of Samarco (current Chair) and Fundação Renova (alternate). Before moving to Brazil, I lived in Chile, strengthening the governance of BHP’s non-operated joint ventures in South America, and my prior drectorships also included renowned companies such as Antamina (Peru) and Cerrejon (Colombia).

My focus on successfully leading joint ventures started in Australia, where I played the role of General Manager Shareholder at Origin Energy, managing the investment and operation of the Australia Pacific LNG joint venture.
My academic background in Commerce (Economics and Finance) and Law at the University of Canterbury in New Zealand, and an MBA with distinction from INSEAD in France complement my experience.

In addition to my technical skills, my passion lies in people and diversity – I love deeply understanding what drives my stakeholders and finding mutually beneficial solutions by developing and empowering diverse and engaged teams.
