James Spilker ^{Top-Executive}

The co-designer of Global Positioning System (GPS) technology, Dr. James Spilker serves as a consulting professor in Stanford University's Department of Aeronautics and Astronautics and previously, the Department of Electrical Engineering. The civil GPS signal for which Dr. Spilker, led the design now has almost 2 billion users and has changed the world.For his life's work, Dr. Spiker continues to gain recognition. In addition to establishing several successful firms, including Stanford Telecommunications, Inc., he has garnered acclaim as a Life Fello of the Institute of Electical and Electronic Engineers (IEEE),Fellow of the Institute of Navigation (ION), and member of the US National Academy of Engineering. In addition, Dr. James Spilker earned induction into the Silicon Valley Engineering Hall of Fame and received the US Air Force GPS Hall of Fame Award.

Dr. James Spilker currently presides as the executive chairman and co-founder of AOSense Corporation. He authored the book Digital Communications by Satellite and cco-authored the 2-volume award winning book GPS--Theory and Aplication. Committed to giving back to others and advancing his field, Dr. Spilker recently pledged a donation of $31 million to Stanford University alongside his wife of 40 years, Anna Marie.
