SWBio DTP PhD in Biochemistry. Using computational and experimental protein biochemistry techniques to understand the dynamics and reactions of polyketide synthase enzymes. Specifically using molecular mechanical and quantum mechanical computational simulations. Supervised by Dr Marc van der Kamp and Professor Matthew Crump., PGR Rep for the School of Biochemistry involved organising PGR events and presenting PGR feedback at both school and faculty level. In this role, I set up a committee of 6 reps which allowed many more events to be organised and as a result we have managed to improve the community within the school.
