Vincenzo Di Nicola Top-Executive

Italian passion, US courage. Knight Order of Merit of the Italian Republic, grateful to Silicon Valley for having fostered my growth as a professional.
I am now leading the Italian sovereign Artificial Intelligence fund at CDP Venture Capital, after being the head of Technological Innovation and Digital Transformation at INPS (the Social Security and Welfare Administration of the Republic of Italy).

In my previous experiences I co-founded Conio, leading cryptocurrency company in Italy for the safe custody and management of digital assets, backed by prominent financial institutions, receiving several international patents. I also spearheaded the first wave of mobile payment solutions. From the ground up I envisioned, designed and led breakthrough products and teams that have been at the core of some of top tech companies (Amazon, Microsoft, Yahoo!), received awards by others (PayPal), and created seamless mobile solutions with the largest US bank (JP Morgan Chase).

I strongly believe in giving back to the community that made me the man I am today. That's why I created a non-profit organization to promote Computer Science and entrepreneurship culture among Italian students, taught Computer Science to High School students of my region, and in the past 16 years been giving small competition prizes to entice kids to study Math.

Last but not least, when it comes to technology, I believe in "Think Globally, Act Locally". That's the spirit that leads my actions to help bring prosperity to my community and the people I serve.
