We are the worlds first solderable Near the board component ( We dont have to change the chip board , which is an expensive affiar) . Our optical transceivers are built to handle high data rates, our solution removes a major barrier for the OEM players. Instead of overhauling their entire system architecture, they can use our plug and play solution. The entire compeition ecosystem is employing silicon photonics and co-packaging directly with a silicon processor ( in this approach , we will need to change the complete chip's package and is expensive ). We are the only company that will be going ahead with the Near Packaged optics for short range applications. In short LightSpeed uses proven components for faster time-to-market, easier integration, and higher reliability. We have filed 28 patents and out of which we have been awarded 10 so far
