The Dalle Molle Institute for Artificial Intelligence (IDSIA) R&D

The Dalle Molle Institute for Artificial Intelligence (IDSIA) is a research institute founded in 1988 in Lugano, Switzerland by the Dalle Molle Foundation. IDSIA is known for its development of the long short-term memory neural network (LSTM) which is used by Google, Facebook, and Apple for speech recognition. One of the most popular IDSIA spin-offs is DeepMind, which was acquired by Google.
