Research activities in the Gunawan group are driven by the mission to create enabling theoretical framework and computational tools that are necessary for the mathematical modeling and systems analysis of large-scale dynamic biological networks. In close collaboration with experimental groups around the world, they have applied these tools to a multitude of biological networks, from gene regulatory networks to signal transduction and metabolic pathways, with industrial and biomedical significance.
