Younger Liang Entrepreneur

Younger Liang’s career development started from localization and Y2K enterprise solutions; he worked in beginning as a contractor for Wang Laboratories Taiwan and NeXT Computer Taiwan, during his university days majored in Mathematics at NCTU in Taiwan.

Younger Liang working for his career as an innovator from being a senior multimedia software new product planner of Ulead Systems (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ulead_Systems, acquired into Corel) from 1997, the first multimedia software company listed on the Taiwan Stock Exchange in early days. He was specialized in graphics, audio, video processing while working at Ulead System and later at Phonic (https://www.phonic.com/) developing recording studio equipment. He thereafter deeply engaged in cloud computing and content driven businesses for online digital authoring, publishing and distribution as the head of product and business development to enable operating mass-multi-user telecom-grade instant messaging platforms at XCome (https://www.eng.xcome.com/, invested by acer) as the exclusive service provider awarded by Microsoft HQ to operate MSN services for all major mobile carriers (CHT, TWM…) in Taiwan.

In the area of software-hardware integration, Younger Liang built up from scratch and supervised a team (Electronics, Mechanical Engineering, BSP, Firmware, Software, UI/UX, ePub authoring tools, Cloud services) across industries from 2009 at KOOBE Inc. (invested by Foxconn) to develop, manufacture and deploy the world's 1st eBook reader featured with Infrared multi-touch screen and following, successfully signed supply agreement for the world’s 1st LCD/e-paper dual-panel educational tablet and next the world’s 1st water-proof eBook reader for Deutsche Telekom. Afterwards, he has extended his sense of touch to the R&D of advanced nano scaled optical engineering.

Since 2014, apart from developing AR hardware for head mounted devices, Younger Liang has also led a multinational research team (including 5 PhDs, 2 postdoc researchers) in optical design, material process and fabrication through geometrically coupled to successfully develop the world's first flexible, plastic made waveguide for virtual imaging of AR display.
