Peter Lim ^Leaders

I am overseeing the development of the Smart Nation Sensor Platform programme and interested to formulate and deliver the Smart Nation and Robotics solutions. I have knowledge and experience in data analytics, machine learning, computer vision, cloud computing, modelling & simulation, immersive gears and have delivered complex System of Systems (SoS) solutions. In addition, I have volunteered as OIA during the Singapore Airshow 2012 and assisted CE, DSTA and Directors to host the Korean delegations from the Defense Acquisition Program Administration (DAPA) and Ministry of National Defense (MND).

On 1July 2017, I was appointed as the Deputy Director (Masterplanning & Architecture) in the Ministry of Home Affairs, with concurrent appointment as the Assistant Director (MHA Surveillance & Sensemaking) by the Defence Science & Technology Agency (DSTA). I was responsible to architect and plan the capability delivery for MHA C3 Systems, autonomous vehicles, sensors and training systems. In addition, I provide technical consultancy to the Home Team Departments during their initial capability planning.

I come from strong engineering background and was appointed as the Programme Manager for Airforce, Army and Naval acquisition projects previously, my job entailed customer relationship management, market competitive comparisons and analysis, project and contract management, systems and software analysis and development, system interface and
integration, implementation and system management and maintenance and upgrade. Furthermore, my job requires that I work closely with customers, partners (both local and overseas), suppliers and contractors of all levels; from defining/testing of specifications, drafting of agreements to project management and troubleshooting implementation issues. Hence, I am able to communicate with
people from different background and culture.
