I am an accidental entrepreneur; fortunate that I had a former boss who was so miserable that I was forced to quit a good and comfortable job. That rude shove started one of Canada’s first and largest internet service providers, scaled a virtual private networking company and lead to the team that invented the smart thermostat.

I believe that there is no challenge that human empathy and human ingenuity cannot overcome.

I am passionate about sustainability, technology, strategy, culture and branding and how those elements create better and more profitable businesses. I believe corporations are citizens in our communities and like all citizens, have a duty to enrich those communities - to help create a better tomorrow.

Everything starts with customers. I believe that business is a contact sport and that constantly interacting with our customers is the best way to build a business. I am relentless about uncovering unique consumer insights and pursuing the opportunities they lead to.

Most importantly, I have been fortunate to work with high performing teams that have achieved amazing results. Mastery, autonomy and purpose lead to team engagement. I am excited about building learning organizations that set a high bar for performance and are constantly improving over time.
