Toru Takasaka Leaders

Currently, I work in the Quality Assurance department at Philips Japan, where I oversee post-market surveillance of product quality and safety complaints for healthcare consumer products. In this role, I lead investigations and collaborate effectively with Business Units (BUs) and other internal stakeholders across functions. I have standardized the escalation process for product safety complaints, provided continuous training to third-party vendors, and enhanced processes by developing guidelines for specific failure modes. I conduct trend analyses of complaints, prepare reports for BUs and internal stakeholders, and handle communication with Japanese regulators. I have recently been working proactively on automating the process of data extraction and on data visualization through BI tool.

With over 15 years of experience in post-market activities, including roles in food and product safety, I leverage my expertise in case processing to simplify processes and proactively implement improvements. I have also served as a project lead for global product safety initiatives and contributed to developing training materials for Amazon sellers.
