Eleni Tsigas Leaders
Eleni Tsigas is the Chief Executive Officer of the Preeclampsia Foundation, based in Melbourne, Florida, where she has dedicated her career to improving patient and provider education regarding hypertensive disorders of pregnancy. A preeclampsia survivor herself, she has been a relentless advocate for maternal-infant health, leveraging her expertise as a voting member of the Council on Patient Safety in Womens Healthcare and a partner in its AIM initiative. Tsigas has served as a technical advisor to the World Health Organization and has participated in various task forces, including those under the American College of Obstetricians and Gynecologists, aimed at advancing research and improving healthcare practices. Her work has been recognized through numerous publications in peer-reviewed journals, including the American Journal of Obstetrics and Gynecology, where she has shared the unique perspectives of affected women and families. Prior to her current role, she held various volunteer positions within the Preeclampsia Foundation, including Chair of the Board of Directors, and has a background in account management at Waggener Edstrom. Tsigas is a graduate of the Executive Leadership Program at Harvard Business School and has completed certifications in genomics and CITI training, further enhancing her professional development in the field.
