For 25 years, I watched my mother suffer from an undiagnosed menstrual pain condition. She was dismissed by clinicians, who would tell her "everyone's period hurts. Take some ibuprofen." But I saw first-hand what she was experiencing: being bed-bound for days every month, vomiting from the pain.

No one should have to suffer for decades like my mother. It's time we close the gaps in women's healthcare. I'm using my background in biomedical engineering and medical devices to create technology to help close those access gaps in a scalable way. That's the vision of Visana Health - to empower women to receive comprehensive, best-practice care.

Women's health is more than maternity. It's time we start paying attention.

Previously, I led a medical device strategy & innovation team that developed a patient-focused innovation methodology. By mapping disease states, patient pathways, and health system barriers that hinder optimal patient care, we partnered with multiple top-tier health systems in the United States and Europe to implement a digital health solution that improves patient outcomes and reduce costs.
