Renephra is a medical device company developing a groundbreaking Transdermal Fluid Removal (TFR) technology for minimally invasive fluid removal. It can solve fluid overload and chronic oedema/lymphoedema in vascular, oncology and other disease areas. The Renephra patented Fluid Removal Device uses micro-needle technology combined with negative pressure therapy to access and remove excess interstitial fluid from the skin. The goal is to provide a safe, gentle, and simple medical device for patients to use as a home. Renephra's team envisages that the device will be applied daily by a district or heart failure nurse who visits these patients during exacerbations of their condition. It is planned that the patient removes the device at the end of therapy and changes the canister if it gets packed during treatment.
