iMerciv is a Toronto-based start-up that leverages crowd sourcing and AI to empower pedestrians with personalized navigation and actionable data in real time. Their flagship product, MapinHood, is a pedestrian navigation app that provides safe, convenient, and accessible routes for users. Unlike existing navigation apps, MapinHood's custom AI routing engine is built specifically for pedestrian travel, taking into account variables such as lighting, crime data, and accessibility. iMerciv has received funding from Microsoft's AI for Accessibility grant and is part of the Next AI cohort, a prestigious accelerator program.
