Accessible Arts & Media is a registered charity based in York that has been running arts and creative media learning projects since 1982. Their main goal is to support the wellbeing of disabled young people and adults, older people living with dementia and memory loss, and people with mental ill-health. They achieve this by helping them develop confidence and skills to connect with their local community and have a say in the things that matter to them. Their projects include singing and signing choirs, accessible music-making groups, and specialist creative sensory activities. As a small charity, they rely on raising over £200,000 each year to continue changing lives through their programs.
