PERSONAL SUMMARY:
Eric Van der Kleij is a technology entrepreneur and cofounder of venture fund and ecosystem EdenBase.com, and the Platform and annual event for Emerging Technologies - TransformBase.com. Launching QBase - the London hub and ecosystem for quantum companies. Previously delivered the Tech City (Technation.io) strategy and organisation for the U.K. Prime Minister and then created the famous Fintech hub Level39 for the Canary Wharf Group. He is Chairman of distributed ledger company Activeledger.io. He also chairs the crypto-finance-conference.com in St Moritz, Switzerland.
Eric served in a voluntary capacity as Chief Adviser to the UK Government's (DIT) Global Entrepreneur Programme and was a founding member of the Tech London Advocates Advisory Board.
More: Eric created and ran Level39 to become one of Europe's most famous and largest hubs for Fintech, Cyber Security & Smart Cities technology companies based on the entire 39th, 42nd and 24th floors at Canary Wharf's One Canada Square.
Previously he worked for the Department for International Trade where he led the strategy for and became first CEO of the UK Government's Tech City Investment Organisation (now Technation.io), tasked by the Prime Minister/No. 10 Downing Street with boosting investment, entrepreneurship and skills in the "Silicon Roundabout" area of East London.
He was also the co-founder of FinTech company Adeptra (raised $40M - sold 2012 to NYSE FICO)
