PERSONAL SUMMARY:
My father was an oncologist at a time when surviving cancer was as rare as it was miraculous. That’s when I realized that while medicine is essential, it is not always enough. So I chose to study biology, aiming to better understand the cause and scale the solution.
Since then, I’ve dedicated my career to developing drugs and therapies that improve people's lives. My focus lies in the biotechnology space, where I identify industry bottlenecks and help create solutions that contribute to the social democratization of access to therapies.
At Columbus Venture Partners, together with my partner Javier G. Cogorro, we’ve had the privilege of seeing vaccines, cancer treatments, and other cutting-edge solutions come to life, grow, and succeed—responding to today’s most urgent healthcare needs. Our ideas and purpose drive this kind of impact, and the trust of our investors helps turn it into reality.

Mi padre era oncólogo en unos años en los que la supervivencia al cáncer era tan limitada como milagrosa. Ahí me di cuenta de que la medicina era fundamental pero no suficiente. Por eso, muy a su pesar, decidí estudiar biología, para comprender mejor la causa y poder escalar la solución.
Desde entonces, estoy involucrado en el desarrollo de fármacos y terapias que mejoran la vida de las personas en general. Y lo hago concretamente desde el área biotecnológica, observando cuellos de botella en la industria y aportando soluciones que deriven en una democratización social de acceso a una terapia.
En el porfolio de Columbus Venture Partners, mi socio Javier G. Cogorro y yo hemos visto nacer, crecer y vencer vacunas, tratamientos contra el cáncer y otras soluciones de la talla de las necesidades actuales. Nuestras ideas y nuestro propósito traccionan logros de este tipo y la inversión de quienes confían en nuestros fondos, los hacen realidad.
En la consulta de mi padre no siempre ganó la vida pero a él nunca le faltaron las ganas. Gracias por inspirarme siempre la futura gran terapia.
