As Managing Director and Head of Financing Solutions Sales and Client Management for the Asia ex-Japan region at State Street, William leads the customer growth and retention efforts in the region across the firm’s agency securities lending, prime and repo products. More generally, William has more than two decades of experience in financial markets, and deep expertise in securities finance, sales, and client management.
William’s WHY starts with people. He has built a career based around a calling to understand, support, and care for others in the marketplace. He finds joy finding different ways to advance that calling, and his approach has inspired trust which led to results. Today, and as a player-coach leading a high performance team in the region, he has consistently achieved performance targets, mutiplied cross-selling opportunities with enterprise teams, built employee engagement to exceed benchmarks, retained and promoted talent, and transformed operating models for the better.
Outside his professional career, William is passionate about coaching, and ministering in the corporate marketplace. He is an active volunteer in mentoring programs on a pro-bono basis, helping students successfully transition from school to the marketplace, as well as young working professionals to develop their careers.
