PERSONAL SUMMARY:
Bertrand de Mazières has been engaged since 1982 in public administration, financial market regulation and international capital markets. In close and continuous interaction with banks, international financial institutions, capital market enterprises, administrations, central banks and regulatory supervisors, he has held operational and supervisory/regulatory functions, all concerned by and contributing to the development of capital markets at the service of the public, and especially to the EU financial integration and international development finance. His experience also includes the set-up and management of newly created operations, and membership in various boards of directors. He has been the chief financial officer of the biggest multilateral bank and largest long-term lender in Europe since August 2006, with responsibility for funding, treasury, ALM, back and middle office, and a staff of 250.

Bertrand de Mazières joint the Board of BNP Paribas as censure, i.e. non voting member, on October 2nd, 2024, and has been a member of the Board of IFFIm, the International Finance Facility for Immunisation, since June 2018. He is also a member of the AFT Strategic Committee, an advisory body to the Agence France Trésor, the French Debt Management Office.

Bertrand de Mazières sat on the board of the International Capital Markets Association (ICMA) from June 2014 to June 2020.
