Amazon Catalytic Capital aims to provide more startups led by underrepresented founders access to capital, mentorship, and collaboration opportunities to help bring their ideas to fruition. We believe that we can make a bigger impact, generate returns, and move faster by investing in others that invest in and support these startups every day. This dedicated investment program - with an initial $150 million in funding - will invest in venture capital (VC) funds, accelerators, incubators, and venture studios that have a track record of and commitment to investing in startups with underrepresented founders. We bring Amazon's resources - funding, mentorship, potential partnerships and product collaboration, and insights - to help these startups scale. We hope to be a catalyst for real change for startups with underrepresented founders at scale. We hope that our investment will be catalytic - sparking a force-multiplying effect by inspiring others to invest, fostering inclusion and innovation, positively impacting communities, and creating generational wealth and financial return. What We Do To drive change that both scales and sustains, we invest in funds not only with capital but also additional resources for underlying portfolio companies: * Capital: Venture capital to bring innovative ideas to fruition * Executive Mentorship: 1:1 mentorship with Amazon executives to help accelerate success * Access: Opportunities for partnerships, technical support, and scaling resources
